LearnCorp has established partnership relationships with a number of public and
private sector educational institutions (e.g. Cape Breton University, Nova Scotia Community College, and Training Partners Limited, Houston Texas). The company works with international
clients to identify their training needs and then engages the appropriate
mix of partners to provide the best training solutions. To that end, LearnCorp
also seeks new partners to complement existing partnership resources.
As an example of corporate training, LearnCorp has an on-going multi-year contract
with ExxonMobil Global Services to train African, Russian, and Italian nationals
in select disciplines associated with the Petroleum industry. LearnCorp partnered
with Cape Breton University and the Nova Scotia Community College to address
ExxonMobil’s training needs. In addition to the academic components (petroleum
operator, electrical, and English as a Second Language), LearnCorp also managed
all of the financial and logistical aspects (visa’s, housing, food, trainee
allowances, orientation, and travel) of international student corporate training
in Nova Scotia. This partnership is
built on an ‘Associate Campus’ model, where CBU degrees are offered in Cairo,
Egypt.
Cape Breton University
Cape Breton University provides a distinctive blend of degree, diploma and
certificate programs allowing its students to pursue dynamic fields of
study. CBU, which is located near Sydney, NS is home to over 3,500 students.
