Cape Breton University’s campus houses state of the art energy research and training facilities that
present the technology used every day in the industry. Some of
these labs bear the name of major industry stakeholders such Shell
Canada and Duke Energy who have sponsored and supported the construction
and development of these facilities in partnership with CBU and
government funding agencies. Students learn the technical aspects on the very state of the
art equipment
they can expect to find in the field.

The Nova Scotia Community College Petroleum Institute houses a series of state
of the art petroleum related hands-on and simulation training facilities.

applied approach to learning, students involved in related training
become well versed in the application of this technology throughout
the duration of their studies.
