LearnCorp International

LearnCorp International (LCI) is a private sector company wholly owned by the Cape Breton University Foundation. LCI’s mandate focuses on developing and managing corporate education and training programs, particularly those that have international and/or eLearning components.

We excel in instructional design, competency-based curriculum development, adult learning, training coordination, and providing solutions for the specific training needs and challenges of our clients. In particular, LCI, incollaboration with its primary training partners Cape Breton Univeristy and Nova Scotia Community College, have developed expertise, and a significant track record, in the provision of highly customized, competency-based training for the oil and gas sector.

Although LCI has a business relationship with Cape Breton Univeristy, LCI functions primarily as an “aggregator” of education and training resources to meet clients’ education and training needs. LCI works with clients to identify their training needs and then mobilizes the resources of partners and associates to address the identified needs. LCI has a proven track record in managing multi-partner training projects on time and on budget. LCI collaborates with client companies in a true partnership mode to ensure that the achievement of deliverables and return on investment are maximized.

To provide clients with a turn-key training solution, LCI performs two functions:

Training project management – all aspects of client liaison, training coordination, trainee support, and contract administration.

Customized training development and delivery – client training needs are assessed, a training plan is developed, and the training competencies are addressed by mobilizing the resources of training partners Cape Breton University and Nova Scotia Community College and others.
